Last week, Kyedae, the queen of Valorant, shared that she has Leukemia, which is a type of cancer. The entire community showed their love and support for her. Even though she is going through treatment, she decided to keep streaming and has already done several broadcasts. In her first stream after sharing her diagnosis, she talked more about her current situation.

Even though the news was serious, Kyedae continued to stream in her usual fun and cheerful way. She even made jokes about her diagnosis and admitted that she didn’t know how to talk about it. During her stream, she shared, “When I found out I had cancer, I actually just laughed.”

“I apologize if I trigger any of you, or make any of you feel uncomfortable, but all I’ve been doing during this is laughing,” she continued. “Because let’s be real here, if I get sad and then go ‘Oh, I have cancer,’ it’s not going to go poof and go away.”

Later, she talked about her diagnosis and shared that she didn’t tell anyone when she first found out, not even her mom or dad. She also kept her fiancé, TenZ, unaware of the situation until after his tournament. She wanted him to be completely focused on his game and work before telling him the news.

Kyedae also shared an update about her treatment with her viewers. She mentioned that her chemotherapy might make her lose her hair soon. Even though she only started treatment a few days ago, she is already experiencing side effects and facing different health problems. However, she is determined to keep streaming and connecting with her audience for now.

Even though the news was serious, she made it clear that she didn’t want her audience to treat her any differently. During the stream, she said, “Honestly, don’t treat me any differently, just treat me like a normal person.”

As a result, Kyedae intends to continue streaming regularly in the future, but she acknowledged that her streaming schedule will become less consistent as her treatment progresses.
