Andrea Greene is completely fictional but her crimes and actions are inspired by real-life stories, which makes it seem like a real one. It matters for legit purposes that Andrea Grenne is obsessed with the character Ni’Jah (Nirine S. Brown). There is no doubt that Dre is not a serial killer in real life who targets those people who say wrong about their favourite artists. Creators have taken real murders and internet rumours to combine them to create a good story for their main character.

What is the story all about?

In the first episode, we see Andrea Grenne opening her new credit card only to buy overpriced concert tickets. Then, later on, we can see sad, terrible and haunting events that revolve around her roommate Ni’Jah. It ends with the first head-smashing murder, making it impossible for the audience to look away. 

As months pass, Swarm is fastened by strong aesthetics like the pebbles, providing perfect texture for Dre’s animal act and the blood becoming extra red with the help of saturated colours. Dre’s physicality, emotions and entire existence are guided by what other people say about her roommate Ni’Jah. 

In episode 6, we can see a detective named Loretta investigating every single thing about Dre’s murders. Loretta suspects that Andrea Greene is the only one who is behind at least eight murders, which makes her the most creative and productive female serial killer. The final episode further creates confusion as to whether or not it is a real-life story as it plays just like a real-life crime documentary which asks his viewers to give a call on number if they have any information which is related to Andrea Greene.

This episode shows viewers that Dre stabbed a girl at the time of Marissa’s sleepover and therefore got kicked out of her house. This episode is a smartest way to give Dre’s background information to the viewers.

Will there be a Swarm Season 2?

With only seven episodes to his carousel, viewers are curious whether there will be a season 2 of Swarm. It would be perfect not to know many details as this series follows a young woman desperately obsessed with Ni’Jah. Creator Janine described the pilot, hinting there probably be more of the story but this was before the interview with Elle.
