Guardians of the Galaxy Cast Vol 3: All characters and actors - Tech Preview

Guardians of the Galaxy Cast Vol 3 is now showing in theatres, and we’re here to tell you about the actors and the characters they play in the movie.

About a decade ago, James Gunn transformed a not-so-famous group of Marvel heroes into well-loved and popular characters. Now, the story of the Guardians of the Galaxy is coming to an end.

The person who wrote and directed the movie is now working on another group of superheroes from DC Comics. This is an official and heartfelt goodbye to him and his team, and many of the actors are also saying their farewells to the roles they played. It’s going to be a really emotional time.

Guardians of the Galaxy Characters and Cast

Here’s a list of the important characters in the Guardians of the Galaxy Cast Vol 3 that you should know about:

The movie’s summary goes like this: “Our favourite group of unusual friends are getting used to living on Knowhere, but things change when Rocket’s troubled history catches up to them. Peter Quill, who is still sad about Gamora’s absence, needs to bring his team together for a risky mission to save Rocket’s life. If they don’t succeed, it might mean the end of the Guardians as we know them.”

Chris Pratt: Peter Quill / Star-Lord

Chris Pratt acts as Peter Quill, a mix of a special space being and a human who was taken from Earth as a kid and brought up by Ravagers. He later became Star-Lord, created the Guardians of the Galaxy, and battled against Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame.

Pratt became well-known by acting as Andy Dwyer in Parks and Recreation, and then he became a top actor in Hollywood with parts in Jurassic World, Passengers, and The Tomorrow War. He also gave his voice for Mario in The Super Mario Bros Movie.

Zoe Saldana: Gamora

Zoe Saldana acts as Gamora, who is one of Thanos’ daughters and a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. She was hurt by her father in Infinity War to get a special stone, but because of time travel in Endgame, we will meet an earlier version of her in Guardians of the Galaxy Cast Vol 3.

Gamora is the second-highest-earning actress globally. She has been in many MCU movies and also in James Cameron’s Avatar series.

Dave Bautista: Drax the Destroyer

Dave Bautista acts as Drax, a tough warrior from Kylos who became a Guardian of the Galaxy to get back at Ronan the Accuser for killing his family. The actor has talked about wanting to finish his role as Drax, so this will be the final time we watch him play this character.

Bautista was initially famous as a wrestler in WWE, but he’s now become a really good actor, appearing in movies like Blade Runner 2049, Army of the Dead, Dune, Glass Onion, and Knock at the Cabin.

Vin Diesel: Groot

Vin Diesel is the voice behind Groot, a tree-like creature called a Flora colossus. Groot explored space with Rocket and later joined the Guardians. Groot has faced many challenges, like sacrificing himself and growing back. We’ve seen him as a baby, a teenager, and now as a young adult.

Diesel is famous for acting as Dom Toretto in Fast and Furious movies, and he’s also been in the x movies and Chronicles of Riddick.

Bradley Cooper: Rocket Raccoon

Bradley Cooper is the one who gives voice to Rocket, a raccoon who was changed by a scientist when he was small. Rocket became part of the Guardians of the Galaxy and was also an Avenger when many people disappeared. He joined back with his team in Endgame.

Cooper is an actor who was nominated for an Oscar. You might recognize him from movies like A Star Is Born, Limitless, American Sniper, and The Hangover.

Karen Gillan: Nebula

Karen Gillan acts as Nebula, who is Gamora’s sister and went through a tough time because of Thanos when she was young. As time went on in various movies, Nebula and Gamora started getting along better. Even though she was unsure at first, Nebula eventually became a hero, teamed up with the Avengers, and reunited with the Guardians in Endgame.

Gillan is also recognized for her role as Amy Pond in Doctor Who, and she’s been in movies like Oculus, Gunpowder Milkshake, and the new version of Jumanji.

Pom Klementieff: Mantis

Pom Klementieff acts as Mantis, who is a mix of a special space being and a person with strong feelings. She’s also Peter’s half-sister. Mantis became part of the Guardians after defeating Ego and helped fight against Thanos in Endgame. She and Drax took Kevin Bacon away in the holiday special.

Klementieff has also been in an episode of Black Mirror called ‘Striking Vipers’, and she will be in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning.

Elizabeth Debicki: Ayesha

Elizabeth Debicki acts as Ayesha, who is the important leader of the Sovereign, a group of perfect beings made by science. In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, we’ll watch her try to get back at the Guardians for what happened in Vol 2.

Debicki is also famous for her parts in movies like Widows, Tenet, and TV shows like The Crown and The Night Manager.

Will Poulter: Adam Warlock

Will Poulter acts as Adam Warlock, a really powerful space creature made by the Sovereign to fight against the Guardians of the Galaxy. He first appeared in a comic called Fantastic Four in 1967, but the movie seems to be changing some things about his character from the original story.

Poulter has also been in movies like We’re the Millers, Detroit, The Revenant, The Maze Runner, and Midsommar.

Sean Gunn: Kraglin Obfonteri

Sean Gunn acts as Kraglin, who used to be a part of Yondu’s group of space pirates. Yondu sadly passed away in Vol 2. Kraglin then joined the Guardians and follows Peter’s lead, using Yondu’s special arrow.

He’s the younger brother of James Gunn, and he also played Weasel in The Suicide Squad. He’ll play Weasel again in DC’s Creature Commandos.

Chukwudi Iwuji: The High Evolutionary

Chukwudi Iwuji acts as the High Evolutionary, a scientist and bad guy with a strong desire to make humans the best possible kind. According to Gunn, he’s the meanest villain in the MCU so far.

Iwuji has also been in movies like The Split, John Wick: Chapter 2 and TV shows like Peacemaker and Designated Survivor cast.

Maria Bakalova: Cosmo the Spacedog

Maria Bakalova acts as Cosmo the Spacedog in the Guardians of the Galaxy crew. Cosmo first appeared in the holiday special. Gunn mentioned that Cosmo is inspired by a real-life dog named Laika, who was a Soviet space dog that sadly passed away while in space in 1957.

Bakalova is most famous for acting alongside Sacha Baron Cohen in the movie Borat Subsequent Moviefilm.

Sylvester Stallone: Stakar Ogord

Sylvester Stallone acts as Stakar Ogord, who is the leader of a group of space pirates called Ravagers. He used to lead the first Guardians of the Galaxy team in the comics, and his comic book name is Starhawk.

Stallone is a famous actor who has been nominated for an Oscar. People everywhere know him for his roles as Rambo, Rocky, and other characters.

Linda Cardellini: Lylla the Otter

Linda Cardellini acts as Lylla, who is an otter that the High Evolutionary did experiments on. Lylla lived in a cage with Rocket and their other animal friends. You can learn more about her story here.

Cardellini has been in many different movies and TV shows, like ER, Scooby-Doo, Freaks and Geeks, Green Book, and Gravity Falls. It’s interesting to note that she also plays Hawkeye’s wife, Laura, in the MCU.

Asim Chaudhry: Teefs

Asim Chaudhry acts as Teefs, who is a walrus that the High Evolutionary did experiments on. Teefs has wheels and can talk, similar to Rocket and Lyla. His character is inspired by a walrus character called Wal Rus from Marvel comics.

Chaudhry is a funny person and an actor who is famous for his comedy show on the BBC called People Just Do Nothing. He has also been in movies like Wonder Woman: 1984 and appeared in the interactive movie Black Mirror: Bandersnatch.

Mikaela Hoover: Floor

Mikaela Hoover acts as Floor, who is a bunny with special machine legs and a big contraption on her face. Like the others, she’s an experiment of the High Evolutionary, but her character is based on something different from the comics.

You might remember Hoover from the earlier Guardians of the Galaxy movie, where she played Nova Prime’s helper. She also acted as Camila in The Suicide Squad.

Nathan Fillion: Master Karja

Nathan Fillion acts as Master Karja. He mentioned that he wanted to take a break from playing a powerful person with weapons and decided to be a powerful person with weapons in space instead. He explained that he wears something that looks like a big scar from the Marvel movie.

Fillion and Gunn worked together on a movie called Slither. He also made a small appearance as Wonder Man in a part that was removed from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. You might also know him from TV shows like The Rookie, Firefly, Castle, and The Suicide Squad.

Kwol: Jennifer Holland

Jennifer Holland acts as Kwol, who is a person in charge at OrgoCorp. She tells the security about the Guardians when she figures out who they really are. Gamora shoots her in the leg during the events.

Holland is known for playing Emilia Harcourt in The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker. She is also important to note that she is Gunn’s wife.

Ura: Daniela Melchior

Daniela Melchior acts as Ura, who is a worker at OrgoCop. Gamora, Peter, and Nebula hold her captive so they can see Rocket’s medical information.

Melchior first appeared in DC’s The Suicide Squad as Ratcatcher 2. She also lent her voice for Spider-Gwen in the Portuguese version of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. She’s also going to be in Fast X.

Michael Rosenbaum: Martinex

Michael Rosenbaum acts as Martinex in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. We got a glimpse of this character at the end of Vol 2, and now he’s back in the third movie as part of a group of space pirates led by Stakar, along with Gamora.

Rosenbaum is famously recognized for playing Lex Luthor in the TV show Smallville. He’s also been in movies like Sorority Boys, Urban Legend, and Breaking In.

Judy Greer: War Pig

Judy Greer gives voice to War Pig, a pig that has been made stronger with technology and protects the High Evolutionary’s ship.

Greer has acted in many different things, including being in the MCU as Scott Lang’s ex-wife Maggie, Two and a Half Men cast, the new Halloween movies, and more.

Seth Green: Howard the Duck

Seth Green acts as Howard the Duck in a short appearance, playing the same character he previously showed up as after the credits in the first movie and briefly in Vol 2.

Green has been in movies like Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed and Without a Paddle. He’s also done voice acting for for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as Leonardo and Family Guy as Chris Griffin.

Michael Rooker: Yondu

Michael Rooker has a quick appearance as Yondu in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. If you want to know more, you can read about it here.

Rooker has worked a lot with Gunn before. He’s been in movies like Slither, Super, The Suicide Squad, and all the Guardians of the Galaxy films. He’s also acted in Henry: Portrait of a Cliffhanger and Serial Killer.
