Xiaomi to launch affordable Poco F2 gaming smartphone

The affordable word is again in the air after years of the debut release of Poco F1. The successor is just around with similar name – the Poco F2. Its once again a time to live up to the same legacy.

The Xiaomi’s dream run is perfect for extremely price-sensitive market as the smartphone giant knows how to replicate the model and it is learned the Pocophone is to focus on gaming phones.

The Poco F2 would come equipped with the same DNA added with incredible performance. Leaks have surfaced confirmation from couple of sources that Pocophone brand would not be discontinued as earlier believed.

The release date would be later this year and the phone is to come wtih Qualcomm’s best chipset, probably Snapdragon 855 Plus, which was unveiled in July as an upgrade to 855 version.

The predecessor came with Snapdragon 845 and it was one of the significant versions then. Poco is known for shipping with the latest chipset available.

It is learned the Poco F2 is to be powered by 6GB or 8GB RAM equipped with some tweaks of improvement towards enhanced gaming experience for users.

Design would be same as Poco F1, but with a big, notched display and polycarbonate back. It will offer FHD+ resolution in the 6.4-inch screen. If believed to rumor mill, the phone could come with an OLED display and fingerprint scanner. This mean the brand is heading towards a big leap, from LCD panel to OLED.

Poco F2 is to be packed with triple camera setup with setup of ultrawide, depth sensor and telephoto.

Xiaomi had earlier said the phone will have 64MP and 108MP image sensors.
