After the weekend leaks about Apple’s upcoming so-called iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus the KGI Securities analyst Ming-chi Kuo has come up with some details about the newly introduced wireless headphones.

By now it is well known the new iPhones would not be housing 3.5mm headphone jack and if believed to Kuo the devices would be packaged with EarPods that use a Lightning connector.

Kuo adds the iDevice giant is working on developing its own wireless technology that could be equipped in a higher-end set of headphones.

The analyst adds, “We believe Apple will position Beats in the midrange market once it launches Apple’s own-brand Bluetooth headphones, in order to maximize profit with a dual-brand strategy.”

Briefing his views in a note reported by reliable tech websites like AppleInsider, 9to5Mac and MacRumors the iPhone maker may come up with its own-designed Bluetooth-like communication chip and it would have power-saving feature that is much required at higher-end headphones.

Apple’s move is said to be probably motivated from the rapid growth of Bluetooth headphone shipments.

If the trademark filings are to be believed, the new headphones of Apple could be called as AirPods.

Kuo further mentions the wireless chip could also used by Apple to smart home and automobile products.
