Smart home technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), driverless cars, electric cars, bigger televisions and some new laptops would be some of the big trends at CES 2017 in Las Vegas.

Celebrating 50th anniversary for the tech industry’s biggest showcase, analysts estimate a gathering of around 200,000 people are expected and the show floor will be jam-packed with products and services.

Smart home products will top the trend and to become even more ubiquitous this year at the CES and other tech shows. Everyday devices are now getting an ‘Internet of Things’ (IoT) upgrade and the future will see app control in more kitchen counter appliances.

Car technology will be high on priority for people visiting CES 2017 and self-driving cars will be stealing the show with displays from companies like Ford, Fiat Chrysler, BMW, Toyota, Nissan and Hyundai.

Televisions will be bigger, brighter and better this time and companies like Sony, Samsung, TCL and Hisense will be showcasing their newest LCD-based technologies including quantum dot to take down OLED.

There will be almost no glance of PC vendors at the event, but laptops and 2-in-1 laptop/tablet hybrids will be much talked about with displays from companies like Lenovo, Dell, Acer, HP and Asus.

Chinese brands like Xiaomi, TCL, LeEco, Huawei and Hisense will be welcoming the tech lovers with a bigger Hello with their smartphones, tablets and other consumer electronics.
