Let’s dream. In fact let’s dream together. Let’s dream about the Apple’s next flagship iPhone 8 amid tepid reviews of the latest iPhone 7, initially inventories of which were sold out quickly and to meet further demand the company had to scramble.

The next iPhone will be the next big thing from the stable of iDevice giant as next year is the 10th anniversary of the original iPhone and something special will surely be in store.

Principal analyst for telecom electronics at IHS Markit, Wayne Lam, said Apple will come out with something special to mark the 10th anniversary of the first iPhone.

However, it is yet to find out whether the new phone will be a completely new model in conjunction with the regular iteration, but it is assured there will be drastic design innovation.

Principal analyst at Pund-IT, Charles King, said it has been seen with Apple taking a big deal out of decade-length anniversaries.

King added, “Since 2017 marks the 10th anniversary of the iPhone, it’s easy to assume the company will use the opportunity to prove that it hasn’t lost a step, and continues to lead the industry in both design sophistication and delivering value to its customers.”

Some believes the phone to come in a block of glass and aluminum equipped with few buttons, bumps and holes. Others say Apple will equip it with OLED display.

It is also rumored three models of iPhone 8 may be launched. Two of the models will be conventional with 4.7- and 5.5-inch displays where as the third one to come with an edge-to-edge rounded screen.
