Kaidou tries to break this illusion of Luffy, maybe he can defeat Kaidou but no one can defeat the sea emperor.
Egoistic Kaidou
Kaidouhad Big Mom and Whitebeard as his crewmates. Living with the Rock pirate crew made him as ruthless as any other of his companions. His ego is something he has earned and has the power and strength to back it up. To grow up with big names of one piece universe Kaidou has standards to live up to.
Kaidou does remember Albeit, the glory of fighting someone with better strength. To enjoy the power of struggle.
